Kommentare zum Video geben für das gezeigte Rohr einen Durchmesser von etwa 30 cm bis zu einem halben Meter an (und bezweifeln, dass es sich um Aufnahmen vom betroffenen Schauplatz handelt). Falls die offiziellen Angaben zur Gesamtverschmutzung (ca. 10 Liter Öl pro Sekunde) stimmen, muss ein großer Teil des Drecks, der da herausquillt, Wasser und/oder Methanhydrat sein (das passt auch zu den weißen Wolken am Anfang).
